Akkeron include the Caledonian in Oban, the Harte & Garter in Windsor and the Yorkshire in Harrogate. Mr Brent has hired Marten Foxon, former head of real estate at Forte and InterContinental Hotels, to find more acquisitions, leases, management deals and joint ventures.

Additional Information:
Akkeron Hotels intends to build a portfolio of up to 150 regional hotels across the UK. It is expected that Akkeron's interests in these will comprise a blend of ownership, leases and management contracts.
