Safari Air Express SAX - Profile

General Information

Safari Air Express (SAX) is a proudly Kenyan owned airline operating from both JKIA and Wilson Airports. SAX currently has the following fleet: 1 x DC9 aircraft with a capacity of 80 passengers, 1 x F28 aircraft with a capacity of 68 passengers, 1 x B1900 aircraft with a capacity of 19 passengers and 2 x C208 Caravan aircraft seating 10 and 12 passengers respectively. Our flights from Wilson Airport accommodate the domestic and international tourism market and are performed using the B1900 and C208 aircraft. We currently fly to Amboseli, Maasai Mara, Ukunda (Diani), Kilimanjaro, Vipingo, Nanyuki, Lamu, Meru and Malindi airports. We operate from our offices at Wilson airport and have a bright and happy recently refurbished departure lounge alongside our own 40’s café in Langata House at Wilson Airport. Our operations from JKIA and Wilson cater for a very diverse and dynamic market. Our flights from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport are performed using the DC9 and F28 aircraft and route to regional airports within East Africa. These flights operate from our offices at Unit 3, our domestic flights check in and depart from the domestic terminal 3, our international flights check in and depart from the international terminal 1. All of our aircraft are also available for private charter. We are small enough to remain a personable airline but large enough to accommodate all our requests and we foresee an exciting future here in Kenya. The airline will commence flights to the Comoros, initially serving Moroni twice a week, leaving Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday and Monday morning, with the return flights on the same day in the afternoon.
