Located in the hills of Tiavi, overlooking the beautiful south coast and the rainforest of Upolu, our unique accommodations offer our visitors a chance to experience the beauty beyond just the beaches. Our tree houses are engineering masterpieces and showcase the unspoiled beauty of the islands’ interior, while conjuring up childhood memories and satisfying the impulses of the adventurous. Lupe Sina Treehouses make a great home base when you visit Samoa. Located off Cross Island Road, in the middle of Samoa’s main island, Upolu, we are central to the many tourist sights and activities Samoa has to offer. The view from Lupe Sina’s treehouse hotel is one of the most spectacular, panoramic, view in all of Samoa. Enjoy a hike through the jungle, bird watching or relax in the cool breeze of your private treehouse.
300 years ago, the last lava flow on Upolu occured, and a Banyan tree began to grow. Lupe Sina Treesort was started in 2011 in that same tree, which is now 180 feet tall and 149 feet around. The owners are Americans that fell in love with Samoa 20 years ago and moved over to Samoa in 2009 to run and operate a resort in Salepaga. 7 months later, the tsunami destroyed their establishment but not their love for the country. They found a perfect spot in the rainforest of Upolu at Tiavi and built their home. Jack, a 4th generation contractor and designer/architect, looked at this huge banyan tree and decided to build a Treehouse. And Lupe Sina Treesort was born.
