New York, 2 March 2011 - More and more companies are creating deeper emotional connections with their consumers by inviting them to participate in a variety of social and environmental initiatives. That’s the message Green Team Vice President of Brand Strategy, Hank Stewart, will deliver to ITB attendees in Berlin on March 11. In his presentation to travel trade executives, Stewart will site examples of the trend of shared responsibility both within and outside of the travel industry, as well as share insight on the Awakening Consumer.
“The concept of shared responsibility has always been embraced in the sustainable travel arena,” said Stewart. “It’s exciting to see it starting to gain more traction in the traditional travel space. Travel can be such a powerful force for positive change in the world, and embracing shared responsibility can help further that. Of course, there has to be a business case for such initiatives, and I welcome the opportunity to demonstrate that to industry members at ITB.”
