Cork has been featured as one of the top 10 cities in the world to visit in Lonely Planet's travel guide for 2010. Cork County is located in the South West region of the country and is Ireland's largest County. The region is renowned for its rich farmlands and river valleys which contrast with the wild sandstone hills of the west. In addition, there is the magnificent coastline scooped and fretted by the Atlantic into great bays and secret coves, strewn with rocky headlands and long golden sands. The Bed and Breakfast being so close to the N25 national primary route, means easy access to Cork Airport, Ringaskiddy Ferryport, West Cork, Killarney, Co. Kerry, with its beautiful lakes and mountains. The Internationally renowned Gourmet capital of Ireland, Kinsale, is but a 25 minute drive away. Superb fishing can be availed of in Ballycotton (Co Cork). Additionally, for golf lovers, we are just a short drive from some of South of Irelands most spectacular golf courses, such as Old Head of Kinsale, Foto Island, Cork Golf Club (Little Island), Monkstown, Douglas and Lee Valley.
